1. Overview
Bark N' Bites complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512. This policy covers how to submit a notice of alleged copyright infringement, how we respond, how the affected party can submit a counter-notice, and how we handle repeat infringers.
2. How to Submit a DMCA Notice
If you believe material on our site infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA notice to our Designated Copyright Agent. Per 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — description with registration details or other identifying information.
- Identification of the infringing material — a clear description and the exact URL or page where it appears.
- Your contact information — full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good-faith statement — a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement (under penalty of perjury) — a statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Signature — a physical or electronic signature.

We aim to review valid notices within 2–3 business days and will remove or disable the material when appropriate. Please note that knowingly misrepresenting infringement may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
3. Counter-Notification Process
If your content was removed or disabled because of a DMCA notice and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
- Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A good-faith statement, under penalty of perjury, that the material was removed or disabled due to mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information (full legal name, mailing address, telephone, email).
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States District Court and agree to accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice or their agent.
Send counter-notices to the same Designated Copyright Agent listed above (Subject: “DMCA Counter-Notice”). Unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice, as provided by 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(2)(C).
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Bark N' Bites may suspend or terminate the access of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers, at our reasonable discretion.
