Cancellation Policy
This page explains how to cancel an order placed at Bark N' Bites. Cancellations are accepted while an order has not yet been dispatched (for shipped orders) or not yet been collected (for local pickup orders).
1. Overview
This policy covers pre-dispatch cancellations of shipped orders, pre-collection cancellations of pickup orders, and pre-dispatch modifications (address, size, quantity, or item swaps). Any customer who has placed an order may request a cancellation under the conditions below.
2. Cancellation Window
- Online Orders (Shipped): cancellation requests must reach support before 2:00 PM CST on the dispatch day. Orders dispatched before the request is received are handled under the Return & Refund Policy.
- Local Pickup Orders: can be cancelled any time before collection. See Section 5 below.
3. How to Cancel an Order
- Email: send your order ID, name, and reason to support@barknbites.us.
- Phone: call +1 312-265-1205 during business hours (Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CST) Closed: US Public Holidays).
- In Person: visit our boutique with your order confirmation.
Support replies within within 1 business day. Once approved, the refund follows the timing described in Section 6.
4. Post-Shipment Cancellations
Once an order has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled. To proceed, please follow our Return & Refund Policy; the return window is 30 days from the date of delivery.
5. Local Pickup Cancellations
If you placed an order for local pickup at our boutique, you can cancel it any time before you collect the order in person.
- How: reply to your order confirmation email, or call us during store hours.
- Refund: follows the same timing as online cancellations — see Section 6 below.
- Uncollected Orders: pickup orders left uncollected for more than 14 days are cancelled automatically and refunded to the original payment method.
6. Refund After Cancellation
For approved cancellations (before dispatch or before pickup collection), refunds are issued to the original payment method in USD within 5 business days after cancellation approval.
Your bank or card provider may add 1–2 additional business days before the refund appears on your statement.
7. Cancellation Fees
Bark N' Bites does not charge cancellation, processing, or restocking fees for orders cancelled within the window described above. Customers receive a full refund of the order amount paid.
Pre-dispatch cancellations are not split or partially refunded — the refund is always for the full order amount.
8. Order Modifications
Modifications to a placed order (address change, size or quantity change, item swap) must reach support before 2:00 PM CST on the dispatch day, via the same channels listed in Section 3. Modification requests received after dispatch are handled under the Return & Refund Policy.
